About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead category and merchandise planning using financial forecasting and inventory management
  • Optimize assortment and sales performance
  • Align forecasts, promotional plans, and feature strategies with business objectives and customer needs
  • Analyze sales trends and customer behavior to drive category growth and profitability
  • Develop and monitor budgets, financial targets, and performance reports
  • Guide and mentor team members in best practices and compliance with company policies and ethical standards
  • Use digital tools and business intelligence to improve planning processes and outcomes
  • Partner with Merchants and cross-functional teams to optimize inventory productivity, in-stock performance, product flow, service, and profitability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field and 2 years’ experience in retail, merchandising, forecasting, or related area; OR 4 years’ experience in retail, merchandising, forecasting, or related area
  • Proven expertise in merchandising and category management
  • Strong financial forecasting and inventory planning skills
  • Ability to analyze data and apply business intelligence to merchandise planning decisions
  • Experience managing profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities
  • Experience developing actionable financial models
  • Inventory forecasting and allocation skills
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly
  • Preferred: Negotiating terms and costing, Retail Link, Supervisory
  • Preferred: Master’s in Marketing
