About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact Walmart Marketplace seller and business problems
  • Translate problems into strategies, business requirements, workflows, decision logic, and scalable product or operational solutions
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to shape capabilities and priorities
  • Own business requirements, operating models, and outcomes
  • Lead initiatives involving seller performance, health, appeals, incentives, protections, eligibility, and growth
  • Design solutions improving seller transparency, self-service, issue resolution, and access to programs
  • Develop pilots and new operating models, test approaches, and scale successful solutions across Marketplace
  • Lead complex initiatives across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Risk, Compliance, Policy, Seller Support, Growth, and Business Operations from strategy through launch
  • Define KPIs, measurement frameworks, and success criteria
  • Use quantitative and qualitative insights to evaluate impact and guide iteration
  • Drive alignment on priorities, ownership, tradeoffs, dependencies, and execution
  • Communicate recommendations and results to leadership
  • Deliver solutions improving seller experience and enabling successful operation on Walmart Marketplace
  • Build and operationalize scalable capabilities and programs
  • Demonstrate measurable impact through execution, adoption, and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in product operations, product management, business strategy, business operations, program management, project management, program operations, or a related field; or equivalent listed alternatives
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives involving Product, Technology, Analytics, or Operations
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving experience using data to drive business decisions
  • Experience translating business problems into structured requirements, processes, or scalable solutions
  • Strong strategic and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Experience working across business, Product, Technology, Analytics, and Operations
  • Ability to translate customer and business needs into business/product requirements, workflows, business rules, or operating models
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to communicate with technical and business audiences
  • Bachelor's degree is listed as a preferred qualification in several fields, with experience alternatives
  • Preferred: eCommerce, online marketplaces, seller/merchant ecosystems, seller performance, risk, trust, compliance, incentives, or growth experience
  • Preferred: product management or product-adjacent experience, requirements development, and technology implementation
  • Preferred: technology-enabled programs, experimentation, A/B testing, cohort analysis, or behavioral measurement
  • Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Excel, or similar analytical tools
  • Preferred: Master's degree or MBA
  • Required to work in a drug-free workplace and comply with Walmart's no-tolerance policy regarding illegal drugs and alcohol on the job
