About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute sub-category strategies aligned with long-term business objectives and market trends
- Manage profit and loss responsibilities and analyze daily business performance to meet financial targets
- Lead supplier negotiations and track performance metrics to drive profitability
- Oversee assortment planning, pricing decisions, and promotional strategies across store and online channels
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize channel strategies and inventory management
- Guide and develop team members, set performance expectations, and foster professional growth
- Utilize data analysis tools to generate insights for strategic decisions and operational improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field and 3 years’ experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area
- Proven experience in category strategy development and execution for moderately complex categories
- Strong financial management skills, including profit and loss ownership and budget forecasting
- Expertise in supplier management, negotiation, and performance tracking
- Ability to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape
- Demonstrated leadership in team management, including coaching, development, and performance evaluation
- Proficiency in assortment planning, pricing strategy, and promotional execution across channels
- Skilled in leveraging data analytics and digital tools
- Commitment to operational excellence and customer-centric solutions
- Microsoft Office
