Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead platform engineering efforts to deliver scalable, cloud-native infrastructure and reusable tooling aligned with strategic roadmaps
  • Drive full software development lifecycle activities, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance across multiple teams

  • Ensure high-quality deliverables through technical judgment and project execution management
  • Foster continuous improvement through innovation, knowledge sharing, and emerging technology adoption
  • Develop and maintain high-scale backend systems managing invoices, incentives, and adjustments for Walmart Fulfillment Services Billing

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; OR 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
  • Extensive experience in platform engineering, delivering scalable, cloud-native architectures and reusable tooling
  • Expertise in designing and implementing distributed systems optimized for real-time data processing and AI/ML integration
  • Proficiency in software development lifecycle management, including CI/CD pipelines, testing, and observability
  • Ability to apply model-driven design and leverage AI agents to enhance software solutions
  • Technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural decision-making across multiple teams
  • Collaboration and communication skills for engaging cross-functional stakeholders and aligning technical strategies
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and high-quality software delivery
  • Preferred: Master's degree and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related area
  • Preferred knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices
