Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience designing, building, and operating complex, scalable systems
  • Deep technical expertise and strong architectural judgment
  • Hands-on experience across the software development lifecycle
  • Demonstrated use of AI coding tools, agents, and AI-native workflows
  • Proven experience taking AI beyond proof of concept into production
  • Experience with AI-powered products or AI-enabled engineering practices adopted in real delivery
  • Curiosity to experiment with emerging technologies and sound judgment about what to scale
  • Ability to influence technical strategy, mentor engineers, and collaborate across teams
  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
  • Option 2: 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in a related area and 3 years' experience
  • Preferred knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices
  • Must comply with Walmart's drug-free workplace policy
