About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead platform engineering efforts delivering scalable infrastructure, reusable tooling, and frameworks aligned with strategic roadmaps
- Drive the full software development lifecycle across multiple teams
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and real-time data processing
- Architect and implement cloud-native distributed systems
- Enhance product capabilities through scalable platform solutions
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship
- Influence architectural decisions and promote engineering excellence
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and measure success metrics
- Ensure solutions meet quality and business objectives
- Adopt new technologies and refine processes to optimize performance and innovation
- Support Walmart Marketplace solutions for third-party seller onboarding, catalog management, order fulfillment, returns, and seller performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; OR 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
- Extensive experience in platform engineering leadership and scalable, reliable cloud-native architectures
- Expertise designing and implementing distributed systems for real-time data processing and AI/ML integration
- Proficiency in software development lifecycle management, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and observability
- Ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and influence architectural decisions across multiple projects
- Skill in model-driven design and leveraging AI agents
- Collaboration and communication with cross-functional stakeholders
- Adaptability to evolving technologies and business needs
- Preferred: Master’s degree in a relevant field and 3 years' experience
- Preferred: Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices
