About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage pavement capital and maintenance projects from planning through completion across Walmart and Sam's facilities
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and funding plans to support asset management objectives
  • Oversee asphalt paving, concrete repairs, rehabilitation, and preservation programs
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Facility Services, and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery
  • Manage consultants and contractors, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and company standards
  • Utilize pavement condition data to prioritize investments and maximize asset life
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous process improvements
  • Monitor project performance, mitigate risks, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Coordinate contractors, consultants, and stakeholders across pavement projects
  • Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field and 2 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, engineering, or related area; OR 4 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, engineering, or related area
  • Experience managing pavement, construction, facilities, or infrastructure projects across multiple locations
  • Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, scope development, and risk mitigation
  • Knowledge of construction means and methods, project delivery practices, quality control procedures, contractor management, and construction sequencing
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions that optimize asset performance and investment strategies
  • Experience managing consultants, contractors, and vendor relationships
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to lead projects in a fast-paced environment while driving results, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
