About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure product quality through comprehensive test design, automation, and continuous integration practices
  • Analyze requirements, identify risks, and develop testing strategies to validate system functionality and performance
  • Test revenue platform applications through manual regression and automation
  • Translate documentation into functional test plans
  • Create and sustain automation frameworks and scripts
  • Communicate across groups responsible for various software-stack components
  • Validate release quality against technical product layers and business requirements
  • Build and maintain testing automation frameworks and scripts by analyzing requirements, risks, and dependencies
  • Collaborate with internal QA and development teams on analysis and advanced troubleshooting
  • Perform SSH controls of TVs
  • Create and run automation scripts
  • Test and modify infrastructure around the Vudip platform
  • Test WatchFree+ and WatchFree On Demand applications in the VIZIO ecosystem to support customer functionality and revenue initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area, or 3 years' experience in software engineering quality assurance, manual/automated testing, or related area
  • Experience with an object-oriented programming language
  • Experience with GitLab/GitHub
  • Experience with API testing
  • Ability to effectively document and troubleshoot errors
  • Analytical mind, critical-thinking skills, and problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to work collaboratively across different divisions
  • Ability to drive issues and deliver quality results with a great deal of autonomy
  • Previous experience as a QA Tester or similar role
  • Working knowledge of test management software such as TestRail, TestLink, Confluence, and Jira
  • Understanding of development aspects, software layers, SQL, JQL analytics, advanced networking, Jira, and Confluence
  • Must meet one of the minimum qualification options: bachelor's degree in a specified field or 3 years of relevant experience
