About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and deliver store and club remodels, new stores and clubs, and special projects across the US
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Partner with store team leads to supervise hourly team members
  • Handle escalations and collaborate with store leadership
  • Motivate teams to meet project timelines and deliverables
  • Encourage collaboration and resolve store leadership, supplier, and associate concerns
  • Execute projects in assigned stores
  • Communicate plans, changes, and obstacles to stakeholders
  • Understand project plans and minimize impact on store operations
  • Supervise and develop team members through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognition, and career-path identification
  • Evaluate talent and act on associates' ideas, suggestions, questions, and concerns
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Support Walmart's mission, values, ethics, and Open-Door Policy
  • Build stakeholder relationships and partnerships
  • Identify business needs, implement processes and practices, monitor progress and results, and capitalize on improvement opportunities
  • Adapt to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities
  • Travel to projects across the US and surrounding states or farther as business needs require

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field and 1 year's experience in project management, space management, store design, operations, data analysis, or related area OR 3 years' experience in project management, space management, store design, operations, data analysis, or related area
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction remodels, project management, space management, and/or store design
  • Experience leading people, projects, initiatives, or cross-functional teams
  • Primarily work overnight shifts averaging 10–12 hours
  • Frequent travel up to 1000 miles from home; away from home 80% of the time or 17–21 days at a time
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Business or related field
  • Preferred: 1 year's experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Preferred: Project Management - Management Professional Certification
