About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations
- Ensure excellent patient experience and locate merchandise on the sales floor
- Establish and develop working relationships with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders
- Accept prescriptions and refill requests from Customers, Doctors or Hospitals
- Fill prescriptions accurately, efficiently, and safely using established workflow models
- Counsel patients on sold pharmaceutical products
- Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products
- Execute processes according to OBWs/SOPs
- Protect and maintain patient privacy
- Ensure patients receive eligible services such as medication reviews and injections
- Develop collaborative relationships with health care providers within the store and community
Requirements
What you’ll need- Age - 16 or older
- Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
- Ability to operate all equipment in the pharmacy (register, computer system etc.)
- Must follow provincial regulations established by the regulatory body
- Must follow OBW regulations as per the Relief Pharmacist program
- Must travel to various locations and follow the schedules set by the Relief program coordinator
