About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee facility operations in compliance with safety standards and local regulations
- Manage merchandise flow by coordinating distribution and supporting buyers and suppliers during setup
- Verify supplier credentials and monitor access protocols to maintain confidentiality
- Assist in supervising associates through training, performance evaluations, and schedule management
- Establish vendor contracts, monitor compliance, and evaluate vendor performance
- Validate expenditures, review invoicing, and manage warranty reimbursements
- Provide expert guidance to improve processes, support business needs, and foster continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate project planning, execution, and stakeholder communication for facility equipment replacement and installation across Walmart and Sam’s Club locations in the US
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field OR 2 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, engineering, or related area
- Proven expertise in facility operations, including adherence to safety and hazardous materials guidelines
- Strong communication skills
- Experience managing vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with service-level agreements
- Ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives and implement workflow management processes
- Proficiency in tracking merchandise flow and coordinating logistics within a facility environment
- Demonstrated ethical standards and conduct aligned with company policies and values
- Competence in budget management, invoice review, and reporting related to facility expenses
- Forklift Operator certification listed as a preferred qualification
- Ability to comply with Walmart’s drug-free workplace policy
