Key responsibilities & impact

Develop a comprehensive network of reliable carriers for efficient and cost-effective freight movement
Negotiate competitive carrier rates to minimize costs
Book customer loads and trace loads as needed
Provide customer service to stakeholders and build strong relationships
Resolve issues and optimize carrier performance using critical thinking and sound decision-making
Identify process-improvement opportunities and suggest solutions to enhance efficiency
Analyze data to optimize network efficiencies
Implement supply-chain process improvements and sustainable solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, distribution centers, and suppliers
Support operational execution and continuous improvement across the supply-chain network
Perform root-cause analysis, performance evaluation, and cost-reduction activities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field OR 2 years’ experience in logistics, distribution, transportation, or related area
Background in transportation operations (+2yrs) or bachelor’s degree
Problem-solving ability
Customer-centric approach and relationship-building ability
Ability to learn and adapt quickly and handle multiple projects at one time
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred: Microsoft Office, Retail Operations, Transportation
