About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create clear, compelling, on-brand content for Walmart Marketplace campaigns, digital experiences, and creative initiatives
- Write copy for campaigns, ads, landing pages, emails, collateral, and other seller-facing experiences
- Translate business objectives, audience needs, and product benefits into effective messaging
- Partner with design, marketing, product, business, and user experience teams, as well as external vendors, from brief through delivery
- Maintain and evolve copy and creative assets according to Walmart content, voice, and style standards
- Contribute to content strategy using audience insights, industry trends, and competitive context
- Manage multiple priorities and improve workflows
- Uphold quality through editorial review and final QA
- Build trusted stakeholder relationships and deliver high-impact work efficiently
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, Advertising, or related field and 2 years' experience in copywriting, OR 4 years' experience in copywriting
- Demonstrated experience creating clear, persuasive, benefit-led copy across digital and integrated marketing channels
- Strong command of content strategy, editorial judgment, brand voice, and messaging consistency
- Understanding of product marketing and ability to translate complex features into clear audience benefits
- Experience partnering with design, marketing, product, and user experience teams
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities
- Collaborative, detail-oriented approach and commitment to improving content through feedback, insights, and industry best practices
- Preferred: Copywriting for online brand initiatives
- Preferred: Copywriting in an online creative or related digital field
- Preferred: Copywriting in a retail environment
- Preferred: Developing copy concepts in a retail or marketing environment
- Preferred: Working for or with creative agencies
