About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify and evaluate data sources aligned with business requirements and service level agreements
Perform initial data quality assessments and manage ongoing data quality improvement initiatives
Translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions using appropriate analytical methods and tools
Develop and deliver clear, insightful data visualizations tailored to stakeholder needs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with business objectives
Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights
Support data governance by promoting standards and best practices across data management processes
Analyze routing, scheduling, driver capacity, and dispatch logic within Walmart's Last Mile Delivery organization
Implement improvements, run experiments, and address operational issues to enhance on-time delivery and minimize cancellations
Mentor team members and promote data governance best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance, or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field; OR
Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Information Technology; OR
4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field
Proven expertise in data management, analysis, and visualization using Python, R, Tableau, or PowerBI
Strong knowledge of statistical analysis techniques
Proficiency identifying and sourcing data from multiple systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases
Ability to assess and improve data quality and ensure compliance with data governance standards
Experience translating business requirements into actionable data insights aligned with organizational strategy
Effective communication skills to present data findings clearly to stakeholders and guide decision-making
