About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Discover, extract, and validate data from multiple sources
- Maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with governance standards
- Perform advanced analysis using SQL, Python, and statistical methods
- Uncover trends and opportunities for efficiency and cost savings
- Build dashboards and translate complex data into actionable insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define problems and align metrics
- Communicate insights through clear storytelling and visualizations
- Lead root cause analysis and recommend process enhancements
- Identify and implement data-driven opportunities for operational efficiency
- Mentor teams on data-driven decision-making and process improvements
- Ensure data quality and governance for analytics and model deployment, including GCP BigQuery
- Support Driver Earnings and Disbursements visibility for compliance and regulatory purposes
- Provide ad hoc analytics for leadership and drive analytics for pilots and strategic initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance, or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field; OR Master's degree in a listed related field; OR 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field
- Expertise in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
- Strong knowledge of data quality management, data governance, and database technologies
- Experience applying statistical techniques and exploratory data analysis
- Ability to translate business requirements into impactful data projects
- Proven track record delivering insights in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Understanding of Walmart LMD Operations
- Experience working on BigQuery datasets and connecting upstream to Finance use cases using DCA and other data assets
- Onsite availability in Bentonville, Arkansas
- Availability Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
