About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify and implement data loss prevention solutions
  • Gather information and write, test, and debug programs and incident-management scripts
  • Participate in code reviews and monitor alerts and system checks

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, technical experts, and architects
  • Evaluate customer and supplier solutions and present recommendations
  • Provide subject matter expertise on DLP solutions and technology
  • Research and present information about new technologies
  • Assign, lead, and participate in team tasks, meetings, and discussions
  • Create, review, and deliver team documentation and written and oral presentations
  • Develop code and application features based on business, technical, and data requirements
  • Create test cases, proofs of concept, and test code
  • Deploy software to production servers
  • Draft countermeasures for information risks and test information-assurance activities
  • Select information-assurance tools and safeguard information
  • Participate in backup, recovery, and archival practices
  • Assist with installation, configuration, and support of information-management software
  • Analyze issues and requirements for managing information resources

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field plus 1 year of experience in data assurance at a technology, retail, or data-driven company or related experience; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in one of these fields plus 3 years of experience
  • Experience with SQL query building and analysis for reports and dashboards
  • Experience with collaboration platforms such as SharePoint
  • Experience with incident response, platform risk discovery, and posture recommendations
  • Experience designing and implementing SOAP and REST APIs using Python
  • Knowledge of NIST, PCI, HIPAA, GDPR, OWASP Top 10, and MITRE ATT&CK
  • Experience managing intrusion detection systems and email protection systems
  • Experience with security policy development and implementation
  • Experience with security assessment and security technology evaluation
  • Experience building scalable, fault-tolerant service-oriented applications using Python and JavaScript
  • Experience configuring and maintaining DLP systems based on emerging threats and vulnerabilities
  • Experience developing incident-management playbooks
  • Coding experience using JavaScript and Python
