About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and source relevant data from multiple business domains
- Ensure data quality and suitability for analysis
- Develop, test, validate, and deploy advanced analytical and predictive models
- Perform exploratory data analysis and apply statistical methods to generate actionable insights
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions
- Create data visualizations for technical and non-technical audiences
- Support scalability and sustainability of deployed models through continuous evaluation and tuning
- Mentor junior team members on modeling techniques and best practices
- Contribute to Walmart’s Supply Chain Labor Optimization platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to improve labor allocation across fulfillment and distribution centers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field; or Master’s degree in one of these fields and 1 year’s experience; or 5 years' experience in an analytics or related field
- Extensive experience in data science and advanced statistical methods
- Proficiency in Python and data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Plotly, or Tableau
- Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques, data mining, and exploratory data analysis
- Expertise in data source identification, quality assessment, and SQL and NoSQL database technologies
- Ability to deploy, scale, and maintain analytical models in production environments
- Understanding of business context to translate requirements into actionable data solutions
- Experience mentoring junior team members and collaborating cross-functionally
