About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the senior Finance partner shaping and enabling Walmart Marketplace’s growth outside the United States
  • Determine where Walmart Marketplace should compete, how to enter markets, and how to scale sustainably
  • Strengthen the performance of existing international businesses
  • Partner with Global Marketplace leadership and local business teams in established markets such as Mexico and Canada
  • Assess expansion opportunities in additional markets
  • Translate enterprise ambitions into market-specific financial and operating plans
  • Support existing markets, new-market expansion, and global seller growth
  • Advise senior leaders on market expansion, prioritization, and operating models
  • Develop business cases for new markets and capabilities using customer demand, seller supply, GMV, contribution profit, profit, and investment requirements
  • Coordinate with International Segment Finance and local-market Finance teams
  • Evaluate economics of cross-border trade, Marketplace fulfillment, local seller models, advertising, and other monetization opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 6 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 8 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area
  • 3 years’ supervisory experience
  • 3 years’ experience leading and completing cross-functional projects
  • Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, and strategic business planning within complex organizations
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to collaborate across departments and influence senior management decisions
  • Expertise in risk management and control structures for financial accuracy and compliance
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and reporting, including consolidation and variance analysis
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting financial insights and supporting business case development
  • Ability to develop and implement business strategies aligned with corporate goals and market trends
