About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead development and execution of sophisticated data models and analytical solutions
- Translate ambiguous business questions into trusted insights, recommended actions, and measurable business impact
- Manage end-to-end projects from rapid prototyping through validated, actionable analytics
- Deliver advanced analytics to merchants and leadership
- Conduct driver analysis, forecasting, predictive modeling, anomaly detection, and opportunity identification for Merchandising
- Provide analytical thought leadership across the organization and to senior leaders
- Use AI-assisted development to accelerate analysis while validating outputs
- Match analytical depth and statistical or machine-learning rigor to business stakes
- Determine when findings should become standing reports and when reports require deeper analysis
- Build and manage centralized reporting dashboards aligned with leadership and merchandising needs
- Partner with merchants to validate findings and prioritize impactful opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 4 years' experience in data analytics or related field OR 6 years' experience in data analytics or related field
- Proven experience in advanced/predictive analytics influencing business decisions
- Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into analytical approaches and findings into recommendations
- Command of statistical analysis and predictive modeling
- Machine learning knowledge sufficient to determine appropriate applications
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted IDEs and CLI coding agents
- Judgment to validate AI-assisted development output
- Executive-level storytelling and presentation skills
- Ability to present complex analysis as a simple, defensible narrative with recommendations
- Bachelor's degree in a listed relevant field or equivalent six years of experience as specified
- Preferred qualifications include certificate in business analytics, data mining, or statistical analysis; SAS or R; master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or Statistics
