About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Shape and execute the overall vision for payment strategies, financial loss management, and seller payments experience
Lead and develop a high-performing Marketplace Partner Payments team
Develop payment frameworks to reduce payment losses and chargebacks
Define strategies to identify and mitigate payment losses, including fraud
Partner with Seller Risk, Trust & Safety, Data Science, Operations, Credit Risk, and Billing teams
Accelerate automation of payment workflows and controls, including reconciliation and settlements
Improve operational efficiency and scalability for high-growth seller segments and new service launches
Transform the end-to-end seller payments journey by addressing holds, delays, and cross-border complexities
Collaborate with Product and Tech teams on payment-related roadmaps
Leverage advanced data analytics to generate insights and optimize payment performance metrics
Drive outcomes including prevented losses, reduced false positives, and improved seller NPS
Lead, mentor, and grow the analytics team while fostering ownership and data-driven decision-making

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master's degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar field required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 4 years' experience in data analytics or related field OR 6 years' experience in data analytics or related field
5+ years of progressive experience, preferably in Payments, eCommerce, Risk, Financial Services, or a similar space
At least 3+ years in a leadership or team management capacity driving high-impact programs
Proven success leading and developing cross-functional and analytics teams
Advanced understanding of SQL with hands-on experience working with large-scale datasets
Experience with one or more data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker
Exceptional quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of e-commerce marketplace platforms, seller payments, and financial ecosystems is a plus
Understanding of risk management and fraud prevention in payments is an advantage
