Key responsibilities & impact

Lead construction project execution to ensure completion on schedule, within scope, and on budget
Direct contractors, architects, and engineers to maintain compliance with plans, specifications, and Walmart standards
Review and approve construction documents, submittals, and change orders
Manage risk identification, mitigation, and resolution
Coordinate cross-functional teams and provide project status, issue logs, and budget reports to stakeholders
Drive process improvements to enhance project delivery efficiency and constructability
Oversee contractor performance, compliance, and quality control throughout the project lifecycle
Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, and development to project teams
Oversee project governance from pre-construction through closeout
Collaborate with contractors, facility management, and cross-functional partners to minimize operational impact and resolve challenges

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field and 3 years’ experience in construction management, construction administration, engineering, architecture, or a related area OR 5 years’ experience in construction management, construction administration, engineering, architecture, or a related area
Extensive construction management experience leading complex projects from initiation to completion on schedule and within budget
Strong leadership and team management skills, including mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
Expertise in contract management, vendor coordination, and negotiation
Proficiency in risk management, quality control, and financial oversight
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to drive process improvements and implement construction delivery best practices
Experience in compliance in construction and real estate management or related area
Experience managing large-scale retail, industrial, or multi-site construction program delivery
Experience using construction project management platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, or AutoCAD, or equivalent
Experience with procurement and contract management processes for construction services
Experience with sustainability, energy efficiency, and green building standards such as LEED or equivalent
Professional certification such as OSHA10, OSHA30, PE, PMP, CCM, LEED AP, or equivalent (preferred)
