About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead assessment, validation, and tuning of advanced data science models
  • Develop and implement data visualization strategies using Python libraries and Tableau
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data science solutions
  • Guide and mentor team members on advanced modeling techniques, feature engineering, and data analysis best practices
  • Oversee deployment and continuous monitoring of production models
  • Drive exploratory data analysis and statistical modeling to identify trends and support data-driven decision-making
  • Support Walmart+ membership growth through analytics across acquisition, engagement, and benefit innovation
  • Collaborate with business units on opportunity sizing, test design, post-launch evaluation, strategy, and execution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 5 years' experience in an analytics-related field; or
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics-related field; or
  • 7 years' experience in an analytics or related field
  • Extensive experience in data science, machine learning, and advanced statistical modeling techniques
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Plotly, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Knowledge of model assessment, validation, and tuning methodologies
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable data science solutions
  • Expertise in exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and deployment of scalable models in production environments
  • Demonstrated leadership in mentoring teams and guiding technical development
  • Excellent communication skills
