About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead development, assessment, and validation of advanced analytical models
- Guide feature engineering, exploratory data analysis, and machine learning applications for structured and unstructured data
- Design and implement data visualization strategies to communicate insights and model outcomes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data science solutions
- Oversee model deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement in production environments
- Mentor and develop team members while fostering technical expertise and best practices
- Develop analytical models and visualizations supporting Walmart’s nationwide fresh-grocery business
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 5 years' experience in an analytics-related field; or
- Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics-related field; or
- 7 years' experience in an analytics or related field
- Extensive experience in data science, machine learning, and advanced statistical modeling techniques
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Plotly, Tableau, or PowerBI
- Strong knowledge of model assessment, validation, and tuning methods
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable data science solutions
- Expertise in exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and deployment of scalable models in production environments
- Proven leadership skills in mentoring and guiding teams on advanced analytics and modeling best practices
- Effective communication skills to present insights and influence stakeholders using data-driven storytelling
