Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead cross-functional strategic technology initiatives to enhance information security across global markets
  • Establish and promote best practices for security governance, risk management, and compliance with corporate policies
  • Conduct comprehensive cyber risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Oversee security audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align security protocols with business objectives and evolving threats
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering continuous improvement and accountability
  • Drive implementation of security controls and monitor their effectiveness to safeguard organizational assets
  • Design and scale enterprise cryptographic services using Public Key Infrastructure, Hardware Security Modules, and security automation
  • Build secure, cloud-native platforms supporting certificate lifecycle management and key operations across applications and cloud environments
  • Deliver resilient, highly available cryptographic solutions through automation and API-driven services

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 5 years’ experience in information security or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company; OR 7 years’ experience in information security or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience
  • Proven leadership experience in information security management and strategy development
  • Expertise in cybersecurity, including risk assessment, threat identification, and mitigation techniques
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks, policies, and compliance standards
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships
  • Experience with Public Key Infrastructure and Hardware Security Module technologies
  • Experience conducting security audits and implementing controls to address vulnerabilities
  • Strategic mindset with ability to develop and execute security initiatives aligned with business goals
  • Preferred: Certification in Security+, GISF, CISM, or CISA
  • Preferred: Master’s degree and 3 years’ experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects
  • Preferred: Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices
  • Must work in a drug-free workplace and comply with Walmart’s policy regarding illegal drugs and alcohol on the job
