About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead operational excellence initiatives by evaluating industry practices and recommending process improvements
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with quality standards, contract terms, and performance expectations
- Oversee budgeting, monitor expenditures, and provide detailed financial reports
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and resolve operational challenges
- Apply data analytics to assess equipment reliability, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement
- Guide contract administration and ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements
- Support crisis management planning
- Implement quality assurance processes to uphold service standards
- Drive equipment reliability, vendor partnerships, contract management, procurement, and strategic decision-making within Walmart's supply chain
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a technical-related field (e.g., Controls, Electrical) and 4 years of experience in the Material Handling Industry or related field, OR 8 years of experience in the Material Handling Industry or related field
- Proven expertise in operational excellence
- Strong vendor management skills, including supplier performance monitoring and contract compliance
- Experience in budgeting, contract administration, and procurement processes for material handling equipment
- Advanced project management capabilities
- Proficiency in data analytics
- Ability to lead change management efforts and implement continuous business process improvements
- Supervisory experience is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering is preferred
- Project Management Professional certification is preferred
