About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems aligned with domain priorities and roadmap milestones
- Oversee shared infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks for scalable, secure development
- Drive the full software development lifecycle across multiple teams
- Champion DevOps architecture and CI/CD practices
- Implement cloud cost optimization and automation
- Mentor engineers and guide architectural decisions
- Promote technical quality and compliance standards
- Manage stakeholder relationships and align engineering efforts with business goals
- Track key performance metrics
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and products
- Lead and support retail services systems enabling omni-channel experiences, payment processing, directed spend, and promotional campaigns
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; or 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
- 2 years’ supervisory experience
- Proven leadership in platform engineering and software and AI/ML system execution
- Expertise in full software development lifecycle, DevOps architecture, CI/CD, and cloud cost optimization
- Strong stakeholder and project management skills
- Experience guiding architectural reviews and system design for scalable, maintainable, and secure platforms
- Ability to mentor and develop engineering teams
- Proficiency integrating AI/ML components and collaborating across product, data science, and engineering teams
- Capacity to manage operational delivery, incident response, and performance metrics
