About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute complex sourcing strategies aligned with product demand and business plans
- Serve as a subject matter expert for multiple commodities
- Oversee sourcing programs across regions and seasons
- Negotiate with vendors to secure products at optimal costs while ensuring quality and sustainability standards
- Build and maintain strategic vendor relationships
- Conduct vendor performance reviews and resolve issues to ensure supply continuity
- Lead and mentor associates
- Drive continuous improvement by evaluating sourcing effectiveness and implementing process enhancements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Product Development, and global suppliers
- Identify and nurture supplier relationships, mitigate risks, and drive innovation within the Personal Care & Beauty category
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in merchandising, sourcing, planning, finance, or related area; OR 6 years’ experience in merchandising, sourcing, planning, finance, or related area
- Extensive experience in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management within complex supply chains
- Proven ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business growth and operational plans
- Strong negotiation skills
- Expertise in evaluating vendor capabilities, conducting performance reviews, and managing multi-year contracts
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring teams and driving continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in cost management and process improvement
- Preferred: Master's degree in Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or related area
- Preferred: Procurement in a retail environment
- Preferred: Raw material and commodity procurement
