Lead a portfolio of strategic design initiatives advancing the future store experience
Direct cross-functional development from early concept through implementation
Translate business priorities into design strategies, standards, and decision points
Manage team priorities and partner relationships
Balance innovation with operational feasibility and scalability
Communicate recommendations to senior leadership to drive alignment and action
Develop and adapt store design solutions aligned with business strategies
Lead design sessions with Merchandising, Real Estate, and Operations
Oversee project implementation, monitor progress, and approve scalable design solutions
Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend design enhancements to optimize space allocation and customer experience
Manage multiple projects by setting priorities, removing obstacles, and adjusting plans to meet business objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in drafting technology, computer aided drafting, drafting and design technology, architectural design, or related field and 2 years experience in retail store design or related field OR 4 years experience in retail store design or related field
Proven expertise in retail and architectural design, including space allocation and schematic diagram development
Strong project management skills
Experience developing and implementing design strategies that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency
Ability to interpret business strategies and translate them into effective store design solutions
Leadership in mentoring and developing associates within a team-based environment
Skilled in using computer-aided design tools
Ability to create and maintain design guidelines and frameworks
Ability to evaluate project performance, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with design standards
Preferred: Project Management, Retail Industry, Retail Store Design or Layout, Supervising Associates
