About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead global technology capability development for a gig platform
- Bring new markets into a scalable earnings, tax, and controls operating model
- Assess market and jurisdictional operational, regulatory, technology, data, and service-delivery complexity
- Build and maintain market expansion playbooks, readiness frameworks, and launch criteria
- Coordinate cross-functional launch readiness across Finance, Product, Engineering, Legal, Tax, Compliance, Operations, and market teams
- Identify risks, dependencies, capability gaps, and resourcing needs before launch
- Support go/no-go and scale-readiness decisions with fact-based recommendations
- Define the balance between global standards and local market requirements
- Create reusable capabilities to make future market expansion faster, more consistent, and easier to scale
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, business, finance, strategy, or related area and 8 years’ experience in retail, eCommerce, strategy, operations, technology, management consulting, or related area; or 10 years’ experience in those areas
- Proven expertise in strategic planning and technology strategy development within complex business environments
- Strong project management skills, including risk mitigation, schedule tracking, and adherence to milestones
- Ability to develop and communicate clear strategic roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Experience in financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation for multiple projects
- Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills to influence and build consensus
- Proficiency in gap analysis, process improvement, and automation
- Capability to translate business requirements into actionable technology solutions
- Skilled in delivering executive presentations and managing cross-functional teams effectively
