About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Set the strategy for Women’s Athletics and Classic Brands
- Build assortments balancing customer needs, market trends and business opportunity
- Own the digital business across sales, profit, inventory, pricing and promotional strategy
- Build relationships with leading national brands
- Negotiate for Walmart customers
- Identify new brands and growth opportunities
- Partner with Design and Product Development to create differentiated products
- Use data, customer insights and merchant judgment to identify opportunities and make decisions

Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising or related field and 4 years’ experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area, OR 6 years’ experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area
- 1 year supervisory experience
- Passion for product, brands and understanding customer needs
- Strong merchant instincts and financial acumen to manage and grow a complex business
- Strong product eye and curiosity about consumer, competitive and cultural trends
- Ability to build influential supplier relationships and negotiate effectively
- Digital fluency and curiosity about online customer discovery and shopping
- Ability to use data and insights to make decisions
- Collaborative leadership style and ability to develop talent, influence others and execute ideas
- Preferred: Microsoft Office
- Preferred: Negotiating with third-party suppliers
- Preferred: Supervisory experience
