Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; or 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
  • Extensive experience in software development
  • Proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and C++
  • Strong expertise in object-oriented programming, code review, debugging, and documentation-based coding practices
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex system issues
  • Knowledge of AI/ML integration and generative AI tools
  • Skills in solution design, technical leadership, and scalable, secure software architecture principles
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with observability tools and telemetry implementation
  • Drug-free workplace and compliance with Walmart's policy regarding illegal drugs and alcohol on the job
