About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Architect, supervise, and develop TV OS software for next-generation platforms and hardware
- Develop and port OS features for smart TVs, including audio, video, USB, HDMI, external devices, and peripherals
- Support development of new application features across smart TV OS stacks
- Oversee the abstraction layer between TV hardware and applications
- Implement hardware automation testing
- Lead sustenance engineering for existing HAL layers and supporting applications on Linux-based OS
- Improve existing systems, fix bugs, and develop new features
- Collaborate across teams to translate complex requirements into reliable, maintainable software
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation
- Design, code, test, and deploy software with AI/ML integration and system performance enhancements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; OR 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
- Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices
- Strong experience delivering scoped features or models through collaborative engineering teams
- Proficiency in debugging, code review, and continuous development
- Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems
- Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and technical judgment
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and program monitoring
- Effective collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams
