About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build, modernize, and operate Walmart’s enterprise SailPoint IdentityIQ platform
  • Design identity lifecycle workflows, access requests, certifications, role governance, policy controls, and risk capabilities
  • Develop integrations with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Workday, RACF, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications using Java, APIs, and automation
  • Lead platform upgrades, hardening, monitoring, incident response, resiliency, and disaster recovery
  • Engineer and maintain large-scale identity integrations
  • Build custom connectors, rules, workflows, and APIs when out-of-the-box solutions do not meet enterprise needs
  • Automate identity operations through Infrastructure as Code and DevOps pipelines
  • Design integrations for scalability, supportability, observability, and long-term maintainability
  • Partner with platform owners, application teams, security stakeholders, and business partners to scale identity services safely

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 3 years’ experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company; OR 5 years’ experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company
  • Senior-level, hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ in a large, complex enterprise environment
  • Deep understanding of Identity Governance and Administration concepts and implementations
  • Strong systems engineering background across Linux, Windows, application infrastructure, directory services, and cloud platforms
  • Proven experience with Java-based enterprise platforms
  • Proven experience with APIs, web services, and custom integrations
  • Automation and scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Experience operating mission-critical security platforms with high availability and strict audit requirements
  • Ability to independently drive technical solutions, take ownership of outcomes, and deliver results in complex enterprise environments
