About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
- Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates
- Document repair activities
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
- Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely
Requirements
What you’ll need- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
- Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area; or 6 years' experience in one of these trades
- Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years
- Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years
- No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- Ability to use intermediate-level word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software
- Can lift up to 75 lbs.
- Can move up and down ladders frequently
- Comfortable working at heights frequently
- Ability to complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely
