About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform routine preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, and fixtures
- Inspect, clean, diagnose, and repair equipment using electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills
- Lead and oversee repair projects
- Guide and train less-experienced associates
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor relationships
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery and company vehicles, including pre- and post-operation inspections
- Document maintenance activities and compile reports
- Submit warranty claims as required
- Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency efforts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area; OR 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area
- Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
- Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last five years
- Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years
- No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- No serious traffic violations under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations in the last three years
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures
- Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and material handling equipment operation
- Ability to diagnose issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs
- Skilled in operating heavy machinery and power tools following safety protocols
- Organizational skills for managing work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and budget reporting
- Experience leading and mentoring associates and providing hands-on training
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and relevant federal, state, and local regulations
