About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain and repair Walmart facility Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets
- Use commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment
- Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders and document repair activities
- Support stores and store associates
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
- Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
- Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely
- Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, Walmart safety policies, and environmental guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration, or 6 years’ experience plus an Associate of Applied Science in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
- Hold and maintain Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling
- Where required, HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman
- 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area, or 2 years’ Walmart store experience
- Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
- Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last five years
- Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years
- No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- No serious traffic violations under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations in the last three years
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently
