About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support and oversee repairs within Walmart facilities’ refrigeration and HVAC equipment team and assets
Maintain and repair facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment
Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and associates, and document repair activities
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely
Perform work according to Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety policies and environmental guidelines
Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need

3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration OR 6 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
Hold and maintain Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling
Where required, HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman
1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area OR 2 years’ Walmart store experience
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, or OUI within the last five years
Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
No serious traffic violations as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations in the last three years
18 years or older
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work at heights frequently
Ability to complete required safety training
Compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines
