About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and lead visual and editorial identity for high-visibility organizational communications, including executive presentations, events, and all-hands
- Set art direction to world-class standards across typography, layout, editorial systems, and motion
- Deliver production-ready assets and support end-to-end event delivery
- Architect reusable templates, editorial frameworks, and toolkits enabling consistent outputs by non-designers across the enterprise
- Serve as a trusted visual design partner for executives, translating strategy into compelling visual narratives
- Define standards and craft guidelines
- Mentor and elevate the broader design community
- Support Walmart associates through design systems that enable faster, more confident decision-making and seamless user experiences
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 3 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area; OR 5 years’ experience in these areas
- Strong experience in graphic/visual design, brand identity, motion design, or studio/agency art direction
- Portfolio demonstrating world-class typography, editorial design, brand systems, executive communications, and motion
- Advanced craft across typographic systems, layout, color, iconography, and motion
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence leaders
- Strong production discipline with Figma, After Effects (or equivalent), PowerPoint, clean file systems, and documentation
- Experience building templates and reusable visual toolkits for large, complex organizations
- Background in event/streaming, stage, or broadcast graphics
- Familiarity with accessibility, localization, and front-end constraints
- Comfort working within and extending design systems; experience applying brand standards across communication formats
- Design certification, driving product development in a user experience area, master's degree, related industry experience, and accessibility knowledge are preferred qualifications
