About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute scoped feature or model delivery through collaborative engineering teams
  • Own implementation, iteration, testing, and support for assigned services, APIs, user interfaces, or ML model components
  • Participate in discovery for small- to medium-sized projects and develop high-level designs with product, UX, and business teams
  • Write clean, efficient, and reliable software code
  • Drive the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD deployments, automated testing, observability, monitoring, and maintenance
  • Build automation scripts and implement telemetry features
  • Integrate AI agents and ML components using internal and external APIs
  • Use GenAI tools to improve development velocity and innovation
  • Translate requirements into technical designs and convert high-level designs into detailed designs
  • Provide guidance to small groups of 2–3 engineers, including offshore associates
  • Engage stakeholders to define business or user problems, technical requirements, and success metrics
  • Conduct maintenance procedures and monitor application performance
  • Track project milestones and timelines through reporting and logging tools
  • Own deliverables, resolve issues, and drive projects to completion
  • Adapt to changing technologies, incorporate feedback, and consider downstream system impacts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2026 interns who worked in a role during summer 2026
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area; or 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
  • Knowledge of software development, continuous integration, software architecture, cloud engineering, data engineering, platform design and development, version control, software testing, Agile methodology, and software design
  • Ability to write code using languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and C++
  • Ability to apply object-oriented programming principles and documentation-based coding practices
  • Ability to integrate AI agents and ML components using internal and external APIs
  • Ability to use GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot
  • Ability to translate requirements into technical designs and evaluate trade-offs
  • Ability to conduct maintenance procedures and monitor application performance
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
