Build scalable, resilient, and high-performing systems powering supplier and seller catalog content across Walmart's global marketplace
Develop intuitive software that meets customer and company needs
Collaborate with team members to develop software best practices and requirements
Maintain code and create regular updates addressing customer and company concerns
Analyze and test programs/products before formal launch
Troubleshoot coding problems quickly and efficiently
Develop software that monitors the sharing of private information
Identify ways to improve software effectiveness
Adhere to company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.E./B. Tech/MS/MCA in Computer Science or related technical field; alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a specified computer-related field and 2 years’ experience, or 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
Minimum 3 years of object-oriented programming experience in Java
Excellent computer systems fundamentals, data structures/algorithms, and problem-solving skills
Hands-on experience with Java EE, Kafka, Apache Camel, RESTful Web Services, Spring, Hibernate, Splunk, caching, and web-based applications/services
Experience with large-scale distributed services, scalability, and fault tolerance
Exposure to cloud infrastructure such as OpenStack, Azure, GCP, or AWS
Exposure to build, CI/CD, and deployment pipelines; Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, and related technologies
Experience in systems design and distributed systems
Exposure to SQL/NoSQL data stores such as Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB
Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Continuous drive to explore, improve, enhance, automate, and optimize systems and tools
