About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design and development of scalable software solutions
Collaborate with product management, project, business, and user experience teams on high-level designs and technical solutions
Develop, test, and maintain code aligned with business and technical requirements, security, and scalability standards
Troubleshoot production and business issues through root cause analysis and coordinated action plans
Manage projects from requirements gathering through coding, testing, and deployment
Lead small engineering teams by providing technical guidance, documentation, and timelines
Create and execute test cases and perform defect analysis
Support continuous integration and deployment processes
Monitor application performance and implement telemetry
Drive improvements in system reliability and efficiency
Serve as a technical liaison between Level 1 Support and Core Engineering
Improve incident resolution, SLA adherence, problem management, and operational readiness

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; OR 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and software design principles
Experience in platform design, API development, and component services
Proficiency in iterative and incremental development methodologies
Proficiency in continuous integration/deployment practices
Ability to conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex production issues
Experience with coding standards, debugging, and documentation-based coding practices
Familiarity with emerging technologies including generative artificial intelligence
Capability in delivering scoped features and managing small to large-sized projects
Experience developing automated scripts and implementing telemetry for application monitoring
Expertise in Java
Experience with Big Data-related technologies, including Spark
Working knowledge of GCP or Azure
Experience with Kafka
Preferred: Master's degree in a related field
Preferred: Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices
