Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software solutions
  • Collaborate with product, project, business, and user experience teams to define high-level designs and technical solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues through root cause analysis and coordinated action plans
  • Manage small to large complex projects and translate requirements into sustainable software solutions
  • Create and execute test cases, perform defect analysis, and conduct regression testing
  • Mentor and guide small engineering teams with technical direction and documentation
  • Support continuous integration and deployment processes
  • Automate routine tasks and monitor application performance
  • Deliver software components for Walmart Marketplace Seller and Channel Partner Portal experiences
  • Contribute to the Marketplace API gateway using Java and ReactJS
  • Leverage generative artificial intelligence and platform design to drive iterative development and continuous delivery
  • Ensure security, performance, sustainability, and business alignment throughout the software lifecycle

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; OR 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
  • Proven experience in software engineering
  • Strong technical acumen
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming and API design
  • Experience delivering scalable, maintainable, and high-availability software solutions
  • Knowledge of iterative and incremental development methodologies
  • Expertise in debugging, root cause analysis, and defect management
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes
  • Knowledge of automation scripting
  • Ability to analyze requirements, develop technical solutions, and manage complex projects independently
  • Preferred: Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Preferred: Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices
