Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define high-level design and translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Develop, test, and maintain code to meet quality, security, and scalability standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production and business issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Lead small engineering groups by providing guidance, documentation, and project delivery timelines
  • Implement automation scripts and telemetry features for continuous integration and deployment
  • Monitor application performance and conduct maintenance
  • Evaluate change requests for feasibility
  • Prepare and execute test cases
  • Manage defects and ensure timely resolution
  • Contribute to scalable, high-performance software solutions for last-mile operations and customer experience
  • Support continuous improvement, technical excellence, and operational excellence initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; OR 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
  • Proven experience in software design, development, and delivery within Agile environments
  • Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming and JavaScript, Python, or C#
  • Expertise in debugging, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting complex production issues
  • Ability to develop scalable, maintainable, and secure software components aligned with business requirements
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and automation scripting
  • Experience collaborating with product, project management, and user experience teams
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies, defect management, and quality assurance practices
  • Ability to lead small engineering teams and mentor associates
  • Must comply with Walmart's drug-free workplace policy
