About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead design and development of scalable software solutions
- Collaborate with product management, user experience, product, engineering, operations, project, and business teams
- Troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis
- Manage projects from requirements gathering through coding, testing, and deployment
- Mentor junior engineers
- Ensure high availability of fulfillment systems supporting pickup and delivery
- Reduce order failures, delays, and customer-impacting issues
- Improve operational efficiency through automation and proactive monitoring
- Enable coordination between order, inventory, and last-mile delivery systems
- Own L2/L3 production support for online fulfillment systems
- Build and enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions
- Design and develop automation tools and scripts
- Participate in on-call rotations and handle high-severity incidents
- Maintain and improve runbooks, knowledge base, and support documentation
- Apply coding standards, continuous integration, and DevOps practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; OR 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
- 4–6+ years of experience in software engineering with strong exposure to production support and fullstack environments
- Experience supporting high-scale, customer-facing applications, preferably in eCommerce or fulfillment domains
- Strong coding skills with ability to debug and fix issues at source code level
- Experience working in agile, fast-paced, and globally distributed teams
- Strong problem-solving skills for debugging complex distributed systems under pressure
- Ability to anticipate failure scenarios and implement preventive solutions
- Ability to balance support and development responsibilities
- Master's degree in listed computer-related fields is preferred
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices is preferred
- Must work at the Bentonville, Arkansas location
