About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build Java-based backend services using Spring Boot and microservices for data platform automation
- Develop UI and self-service tools for data activities
- Integrate AI/ML or LLM-based capabilities for predictive insights and intelligent remediation
- Automate provisioning, monitoring, scaling, upgrades, and CI/CD pipelines
- Work closely with DBAs and Platform Engineers
- Develop cloud-native solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Support enterprise SQL and NoSQL data platforms across on-premises, Azure, and GCP environments
- Automate database operation lifecycles and integrate data tools to establish common standards
- Build DB abstraction layers supporting diverse database management systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong Java development with Java 11+ and Spring Boot
- Full Stack experience with REST APIs and React/Angular or similar
- Exposure to SQL and/or NoSQL databases, including Postgres, SQL, and Cassandra
- AI/ML or Generative AI integration experience (must-have)
- Experience building automation or internal platforms
- 4–6 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; OR 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
- Preferred: exposure to Cassandra, Cosmos DB, and Kafka
- Preferred: Python for AI/ML workflows
- Preferred: experience in data platform or infrastructure automation
- Preferred master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related area
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices is valued
