About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and source relevant data from multiple business domains and databases
- Perform data quality assessments and ensure data suitability for modeling and analysis
- Develop, validate, and tune predictive models using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques
- Translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions aligned with strategic objectives
- Create clear, impactful data visualizations and stakeholder presentations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy scalable models and monitor production performance
- Mentor junior team members on analytical methods, coding best practices, and data storytelling
- Support fraud prevention, threat detection, digital risk management, cloud transformation, and operational reliability initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 4 years' experience in an analytics-related field; or Master's degree in one of these fields and 2 years' experience; or 6 years' experience in an analytics or related field
- Proven expertise in predictive analytics and machine learning algorithms
- Proficiency in Python
- Proficiency in Matplotlib, Plotly, or Tableau
- Strong understanding of data strategy, data quality, governance, and scalable data storage solutions
- Experience identifying and sourcing business data from SQL and NoSQL databases
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into analytical models and actionable insights
- Skill in model assessment techniques and continuous model improvement for production deployment
- Must comply with Walmart's drug-free workplace policy
