About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations
  • Provide patient care based on patient consultation or file review
  • Ensure excellent patient experience and locate merchandise on the sales floor
  • Establish and develop working relationships with the Professional Services District Manager and other stakeholders
  • Accept prescriptions and refill requests from Customers, Doctors, or Hospitals
  • Fill prescriptions accurately, efficiently, and safely using established workflow models
  • Counsel patients on sold pharmaceutical products
  • Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products
  • Execute processes according to Walmart's best ways/SOPs
  • Operate pharmacy equipment, including the register and computer system
  • Protect and maintain patient privacy and follow provincial regulations
  • Ensure patients receive eligible services such as medication reviews and injections
  • Ensure the Pharmacy is open and operational during posted business hours
  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager in executing the business action plan to achieve corporate business goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Age - 16 or older
  • Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
