Key responsibilities & impact

Lead development and delivery of scalable platform capabilities, including infrastructure, tooling, and AI/ML frameworks
Deliver platform capabilities aligned with roadmap milestones and domain priorities
Drive the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
Apply cloud-native architecture principles to build scalable, resilient, and agile systems
Conduct system design reviews to validate feasibility and quality
Build AI-driven applications and integrate ML components
Mentor engineers and influence technical decisions
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable technical requirements
Track success metrics and promote continuous engineering improvement
Develop Java backend services for NextGen upstream integration, platform migration, and microservices
Troubleshoot production issues and apply software design and development best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; OR 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
Expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation
Proficiency in software design patterns, API design, and platform development
Experience with coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and observability
Ability to conduct design reviews and debugging
Data-driven decision making and problem solving
Leadership in mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions
Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area
Preferred knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices
