About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead development of full-stack features from user interfaces through backend services
Translate product requirements into technical designs and implementation plans
Build reusable ReactJS components and high-performance web applications using TypeScript and NodeJS
Architect and implement backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs
Collaborate with architects, staff engineers, product managers, and QA engineers
Steer platform modernization and migration from legacy systems to modern architectures
Design, develop, and deploy scalable platform capabilities, including infrastructure, tooling, and AI/ML frameworks
Drive the full software development lifecycle
Influence technical decisions and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives
Support continuous improvement and operational excellence for Walmart Marketplace platforms

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; OR 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
Expertise in ReactJS, Redux, TypeScript, ES6, NodeJS, and front-end performance optimization
Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
Strong experience with Node.js for server-side JavaScript and backend development
Cloud experience with GCP and Azure
Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software architecture
Proven experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and driving continuous improvement
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
