  • Mentor engineers and influence technical decisions
  • Promote engineering excellence through documentation and knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements
  • Track success metrics using data-driven practices
  • Support Walmart's Customer Engagement Services Technology team in delivering scalable, secure, and maintainable customer service solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; OR 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
  • Expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation
  • Experience in software design patterns, API design, and software prototyping
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, or C++
  • Experience leading full software development lifecycle activities, including CI/CD deployment, observability, and maintenance
  • Data-driven decision making and best practices to improve code quality and system performance
  • Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills
  • Preferred: Master's degree and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area
  • Preferred: Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices
  • Ability to comply with Walmart's drug-free workplace policy
